Children find out about middle sounds and make/write as many words as they can from 9 letters with a middle vowel. Children can work in pairs or take a sheet home for home work. There are 5 different sheets representing each of the vowels.

Here is a lovely little snowman number rhyme you can show on the Smart Board and print out. Each snowman has a name and a number for the order the come in the rhyme. Following on from the rhyme there are snowmen to colour, order, sequence and match. Children will develop their observation skills as some of the snowmen have subtle differences.
